E. L. Ross Welcomed into the Rain and Hail Family

On April 3, 2000 Rain and Hail (R&H) announced that it would purchase the E. L. Ross, Inc., book of crop insurance business. This continues and expands the successful relationship that has existed between R&H and E. L. Ross for many years.

Since April 3rd, company personnel with both E. L. Ross and the Raleigh and Atlanta offices of R&H have been working very diligently to insure that the consolidation of the E. L. Ross crop insurance business with R&H's business proceeds as smoothly as possible and with a minimum of disruption.

The E. L. Ross office in Enfield is reporting a tremendous increase in the number of policies written for 2000 and a corresponding increase in the number of buy-ups and conversions to CRC coverages. Pam Strickland has joined the R&H team and will be supervising the Enfield office. With the anticipated increase in business, we are looking forward to a very busy year and successful year.

We are very pleased to report that the process of merging the E. L. Ross field staff with the Rain and Hail field staff is virtually complete. Mackie Rogers, Robert Hoggard, Benny Andrew, Sam Hunter, Brad Winn and Bill Bushong have been retained as Field Supervisors. Lacy Rea, Jr. has been retained as a Field Representative. Ricky Murphy has been retained as a Staff Adjuster. Many E. L. Ross per diem adjusters have also been contracted with R&H. We are gratified that these valued people are still working with us and we are convinced that the combined team of Rain and Hail and E. L. Ross adjusters and field staff that we now have available are the most professional and competent team in the industry.
